Our singles vacation begins when we meet up with all the other single and solo travelers i. The group is met at the airport and transfered to our centrally located hotel. Hotel - Istanbul | | Day 3 | Istanbul | May 1 - Saturday - Istanbul Our singles tour begins when we visit Suleymaniye Mosque, Byzantine Hippodrome, in which stands the obelisk brought from Egypt by Theodosius and the Serpent Column taken from Delphi by Constantine. The Blue Mosque, which has six minarets and a middle dome of 109 feet, is the next stop before St. Sophia, an originally Christian Basilica, a museum for all regardless of creed.
In the afternoon visit Topkapi Palace which served as the home of Ottoman Sultans for 400 years. Before returning to your hotel visit the Grand Covered Bazaar dating back to XVth century. It covers over 2,000 shops. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
| | Day 4 | Cappadocia | May 2 - Sunday Istanbul/Ankara/Cappadocia Morning flight to Ankara, the capital of Turkey and one of the fastest growing cities in the world with a history that can be dated back 3000 years.
Upon arrival visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, which also exhibits the remains of Catalhoyuk, the Neolithic village dating back to 6500 B.C. Then visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey.
Next destination is the mysterious Cappadocia. Visit Agzikarahan Caravanserai and the natural citadel of Uchisar en route. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
| | Day 5 | Cappadocia | May 3 - Monday - Cappadocia Sightseeing in this unique corner of the world. Goreme Open-air Museum is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. These tall free standing cones of stone curve and twist as if pulled from earth like taffy. Others are tall like fairy chimneys. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries.
Visit some caves in cliffs to see Byzantine frescoes decorating early Christian churches. Among them are frescoes of St. Helene, who discovered the true cross at Jerusalem and of saints slaying the dragon, symbol of ancient religion.
In the afternoon, first visit to Kaymakli Underground City; carved out of rock and completely self contained. More than 200 people lived on each of seven floors with the last one 250 feet underground. It is connected to Derinkuyu Underground city by six miles of tunnel. The tour of the region also includes Zelve Valley and villages of Cavusin and Avanos. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | | Day 6 | Antalya | May 4 - Tuesday Konya/Antalya After breakfast depart for Konya visit Catal Huyuk, Selcuk's Caravansary, Museum of Mevlana (Whirling Dervishes), Ince Minare Medrese (Selcuk architecture). Drive to Antalya chek in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Antalya. | | Day 7 | Kas | May 5 - Wednesday Antalya/Perge/Kas After breakfast visit Antalya Archaeology Museum, Greek ruins of Perge, located 15 km (9 miles) east of Antalya, Perge boasts extensively early Hellenistic ruins including a well preserved Stadium, and Aspendos, the best preserved Roman theatre in the world, built in the 2nd century AD. Drive to Kas and visit Church of St. Nicholas, Lycian tombs in Myra, Simene. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kas. | | Day 8 | Kas | May 6 - Thursday Kas/Kekova After breakfast viewing of Kekova Bay underwater ruins by glass bottom boat/ snorkeling. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kas. | | Day 9 | Pamukkale | May 7 - Friday Pamukkale After breakfast depart for Pamukkale. Arrive in Pamukkale and visit ancient city of Hierapolis. Visit and swim in the world famous calcium deposited pools. Overnight in one of the Thermal Hotels in Pamukkale. | | Day 10 | Izmir | May 8 - Saturday Ephesus/Izmir We drive to the ancient city of Ephesus and first visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Ephesus was undoubtedly one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. Impressive structures we will see include the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theatre and Odeon. We also visit the House of the Virgin Mary We stay overnight in Izmir | | Day 11 | Depart Istanbul | May 9 - Sunday - Depart Istanbul After breakfast, Transfer to Izmir airport for flight to Istanbul and fly back home.
